A rocky hillside in the coastal eastern part of the island of Lefkada is the location of LITHOS HOUSE. The dynamics of the natural topography was the starting point of the architectural design and acted as a catalyst at all levels and stages of the design. The natural stone, beyond the material expression of the form of this work, also marks the links with traditional methods of reconstruction, thus strengthening the project’s links with the place, both materially and conceptually. A combination of light, shadow and texture compose the overall atmosphere making the residence an ideal refuge from the bustling daily life of the city.
